Date Harvesting

It’s starting to cool off in New Hampshire, and we even have some colors peeking through the green. Other signs of the turning season in this neck of the woods include the pumpkins making their appearance at the farmer’s markets and the corn mazes opening up.

Meanwhile, in different climes, October marks the beginning of date season, at least for my favorite variety, the oh-so-juicy and decadent medjhool date.

While browsing around for the exact dates and putting my name on the notification list for early shipment, I found this video of the harvesting process.

This month’s Vegan Done Light Newsletter includes:

  1. My dietary story, complete with pics!

  2. A review of Dr. Fuhrman’s new DVD, and as always
  3. Studies of interest to health-conscious folk like you.
