Richard Wright, original keyboardist — as well as songwriter and sometime vocalist — for Pink Floyd, has died at 65 years of age after a short bout with cancer.
David Gilmour, who’s new 2 CD/DVD set Live In Gdansk features Wright, had this to say on his website,
“He was such a lovely, gentle, genuine man and will be missed terribly by so many who loved him. And that’s a lot of people. Did he not get the loudest, longest round of applause at the end of every show in 2006?”
