Guess The Green

A little quiz to start off the week. This one’s going to be easy for my knowledgeable readers. ;)

Name this leafy fella

Piece of low-fat vegan cake, heh?

I’m just using it for the segue. You ready for this?…

Speaking of green,
seeing as it’s tax time, let’s see how our government is using ours.

    Collard Greens

  2. Erin says:

Nope. Thought that would be the first guess. :)

It would’ve been mine too. They certainly look like the beautiful baby collard greens from the first of last summer’s bounty. Alas, this is a green I must admit I hadn’t tried previously (couldn’t find them).

  3. suse says:

Looks like wither baby cauliflower greens- or from the pak choy family.

  4. Erin says:

This is so cool. I’m glad it’s turned out harder than I thought. Keep ‘em coming!

Sorry, game still on. Just think, if this were poisonous, we’d all be screwed out in the wild.

Omarosa, perhaps? Horrible “Celebrity Apprentice” drop.

Man, I have no idea. I’ll just lurk around till someone comes up w/ the veggie answer. :)

  9. Erin says:

Good out of the box thinking, Peg. But… we’re still without a winner.

Mike, I’m still watching too. I was proud of Tito last week, getting all that praise from The Donald. ;)

  10. Judith (MoMR) says:

Could it possibly be individual leaves of Brussels sprouts? My friend recently found a recipe for which you have to remove all the leaves from the little devils. She served it at a dinner party and no one knew what it was!

  11. Erin says:

Good thinking, Judith. I actually wasn’t so tricky as to do an extreme closeup. For the answer, see the post I made on St. Patrick’s Day.
